Much of our work is carried out as coordinated projects, where AIR leads the technological subproject alongside hospitals, research groups and companies that contribute the clinical, educational or industrial side.

SMART-REHAB-AR 2026 – 2030 Hospital Nacional de Parapléjicos, Toledo Coordinated project PID2025-167775OB. The HNPT subproject (C22) defines the clinical requirements and therapeutic protocols, studies the FES parameters and leads the biomechanical characterisation and clinical validation.
Rehab-Immersive 2021 – 2026 Hospital Nacional de Parapléjicos, Toledo Coordinated project PID2020-117361RB. Joint design of the immersive therapies and clinical validation with patients with spinal cord injury.
ADAPTA-VR 2024 – 2025 Hospital Nacional de Parapléjicos, Toledo Co-design of the VR training environments and the wheelchair simulator with clinicians and patients.
Aglaea 2019 – 2020 Hospital General Universitario Nuestra Señora del Prado, Talavera de la Reina Clinical testing of the telemedicine prototype with adults who had suffered a stroke.
IAPRO / iProg 2016 – 2019 CHICO Research Group, University of Castilla-La Mancha Coordinated project TIN2015-66731-C2. AIR led subproject 2 on immersive systems; CHICO led the coordination and the educational technology strand.
EUMOVE 2021 – 2023 European consortium · Erasmus+ Sport programme Multi-country partnership on school-based health promotion. UCLM designed and developed the active-break platform driven by a 3D virtual avatar.
ENERGOS 2010 – 2011 Gas Natural, Indra and 37 national organisations CENIT consortium on intelligent management of energy distribution networks.
HESPERIA 2006 – 2009 Indra Software Labs and Unión Fenosa CENIT consortium on security technologies for public spaces. The group led work package 4, on augmented reality for operational support.
